We didn't start with an app. We started with a problem we lived.

It began with an empty room in Barrie.

When Aasees moved across the world to study in Barrie, he had a schedule and zero people in it. Wake up → class → work → assignments → sleep → repeat. Surrounded by thousands of students. Completely alone.

Then one "Hey, what's your story?" from a stranger in a Hawaiian shirt changed everything. One conversation became a friendship. That friendship became a crew. And a question stuck: why did that take luck? Why isn't there a way to make that first hello easier?

ImpulsTrip is our answer.

Loneliness is the crisis nobody posts about.

Young people today are the most connected generation in history, and the loneliest. Especially students, newcomers, and anyone who just moved cities. Everyone's "in touch." Almost nobody's together.

We don't think that's a personality problem. We think it's a design problem. Social apps are built to keep you scrolling. We're building one designed to get you outside, sitting across from a real person.

Three roommates, one mission (and a dog).

We're Aasees, Lakshit, and Teja: three friends building ImpulsTrip from Barrie, Ontario. We live together, build together, and test every feature on our own social lives first.
